What this is
A place to trade books with people near you. No money changes hands. Listing something for sale, asking for payment, or requesting a deposit is not allowed.
Books only
Books, and physical copies you actually own. Not files, not scans, not anything else.
Your account
One account per person. Don't impersonate anyone. You're responsible for what you list and what you say.
Swaps are between you
bookanear introduces readers; it is not a party to the exchange. We can't guarantee a book turns up, arrives in the condition described, or that anyone shows up at all.
Moderation
Listings may be held for review or removed, and accounts may be closed, where something breaks these terms. Automated checks flag listings; people decide.
Changes
These terms may change. Continuing to use the site means the current version applies.
