Meet in public
A library, a café, a bookshop. Somewhere with other people around and no reason to give out your address.
Your exact location is never shown
Listings show a distance and a town, never a street. Coordinates are kept in a separate table that no other member can read.
Your reading list is private
Nobody sees what you're looking for. When a match happens, the other person learns only that one book matched — never the rest of the list.
Report anything wrong
Every listing has a report link. Reports go to a person, and a flagged listing is hidden from everyone but its owner until someone has looked.
Nothing is for sale
Anyone asking you for money, a deposit or payment details is misusing the site. Report them.
